Medical Barista is a medically-oriented current events blog created by two doctors in New York City.  The goal of the blog is to take medical news and medical events portrayed in the media and shed light on the facts and evidence behind the hype.  The secondary goal, as with all blogs, is to create an environment that fosters discussion on the posted topics, and be able to link information from various web sites so that readers can grab information from a variety of sources.

The blog is geared toward the general public, and we encourage everybody who visits the site to leave a comment.  The longer and more thoughtful the comment, the better –  it adds to the complexity of the discussion and makes the topic more entertaining!
