Line up for coffee, not healthcare
August 12, 2009doubleshot No Comments »Those Washington pundits (probably with concierge doctors) should spend some time in a hospital.
Most hospitals are bursting at the seams when it comes to peoplepower. Doctors and nurses are already working extra shifts and hours to keep up with the patient load. Now our very own delusional Obama wants to siphon in another 42 million people into the healthcare system. I may have to move to Iceland after this.
Equalhealthcare means helping illegals, criminal imports, abusers of the system who get off a plane and demand heart bypass surgery, etc. The hardworking American who is already paying taxes up to the eyeballs has to wait in line with such elements? I hope not. Some how concierge medicine is looking better and better.
Who exactly is going to pay for these extra elements? Answer: the top wage earners of this country have to pay more taxes and make room for all these extra patients. That means the doctors themselves have to pay!. That’s right folks- work longer hours…for less income. Does this sound like a coveted profession anymore? Since we don’ t have enough doctors in this country to take care of 300 million people, I guess the line in every waiting room is going to get really, really long (I hear Cuba’s biggest export is doctors). Who wants to see hundreds of more patients for a flat fee. I imagine doctors will continue to take care of just the same number of patients as they physically can. All the newbie patients have to get in line and wait their turn.
